De Clare Court was the first extra care facility to be built in Pembrokeshire, in 2006. Based in Haverfordwest the facility provides 30 one bedroom apartments, 10 two bedroom apartments, an 8-bedrooms dementia-care unit and on-site communal faciities.
Bullock Consulting were appointed as commissioning M&E Engineers for the project. Duties included carrying out the re-design of some systems that were not appropriate for the building, producing the BREEAM calculations to achieve a "very good" standard and co-ordinating the commissioning and handover of the systems employed.
Renewable Energy Technologies were installed and included 2 Combined Heat & Power units and 30m2 of solar hot water thermal panels. Low energy lighting and controls and care alarm systems were incorporated into the design.
